The
weekend of March 23-25, 2012 will see a variety of events occurring within and
around the Downtown Core of the City of Miami.
These events will bring well over 200,000 attendees throughout the
weekend. The main event will be the
Ultra Music Festival, which will occur at Bayfront Park for three consecutive
days. Below is a list of individual events, their dates, times and locations.

Downtown Miami Entertainment District will be open for business throughout the weekend.
There
will be a traffic detour along Biscayne Boulevard. This detour will take effect
on Thursday night, March 22, at 1100 PM and will last through Monday morning,
at approximately 0500 AM. Traffic along Biscayne Boulevard will be brought down
to two lanes from SE 1 Street to NE 3 Street in both directions. All Northbound
lanes will be closed and all traffic along Biscayne Boulevard will be shifted
onto the southbound lanes in a counter flow.
All
businesses will be open as usual.
Bayside and the Port of Miami will have all access as normal. Parking spaces in the area will be limited
and attendees are encouraged to use public transportation, taxis or other
means. The Metrorail and Metromover systems will run until 200 AM.
City of Miami Police Officers will be
strategically located along the Biscayne corridor, SE 2 Street, NE 6 and 8
Streets to assist with the flow of traffic.Residents, merchants, tourists and all other visitors
should expect serious traffic delays when traveling through the Downtown Core,
or while trying to get to and from the area.Everyone in
the area should expect loud music until Midnight on Friday and Saturday and
until 1100 PM on Sunday.
