Fruit and Spice Park / Miami Beach Bandshell Events

During my research, I noticed these 2 great locations had a lot of interesting, fun upcoming events.  Check them out and as always remember to Go Out and About!

  • Star Gazing Party
    Astronomy buffs are invited to the First Quarter Moon Stargazing Party on Friday, March 30, 7:00 p.m. at the Fruit and Spice, 24801 SW 187 Avenue in Homestead. Organized by the Southern Cross Astronomical Society and the Fruit and Spice Park, this free event will feature... a moonlight tram tour of the park, campfire and sing-a-long music. The Southern Cross Astronomical Society will have hi-tech telescopic equipment to guide patrons through an exploration of the stars. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and their own hot dogs and marshmallows to roast over the campfire. Food & Drinks are available for purchase. Admission is FREE.   •  Blues, Brews & Barbecue 2nd Annual Blues Brews & BBQ. Admission: $5.00 (Children 11 & under are FREE) Two day event on Saturday, April 21 & Sunday, April 22. Features award winning BBQ and incredible blues & country music. An interactive zone sponsored by Homestead Motor Speedway, a multitude of children's activities, & pony rides will be available.
  •  Children's First Cane Pole Fishing Tournament
    Fee: TBA Coordinator: Park Masterson This is for little fisherman ages 4 to 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children will pick out their own bamboo fishing pole from the bamboo forest at the Park. This is a catach and release activity. LIMITED CAPACITY: REGISTER EARLY!  CALL 305-247-572.
