- Star Gazing Party
Astronomy buffs are invited to the First Quarter Moon Stargazing Party on Friday, March 30, 7:00 p.m. at the Fruit and Spice, 24801 SW 187 Avenue in Homestead. Organized by the Southern Cross Astronomical Society and the Fruit and Spice Park, this free event will feature... a moonlight tram tour of the park, campfire and sing-a-long music. The Southern Cross Astronomical Society will have hi-tech telescopic equipment to guide patrons through an exploration of the stars. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and their own hot dogs and marshmallows to roast over the campfire. Food & Drinks are available for purchase. Admission is FREE. Doors open at 7 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. For more information, please call the Fruit & Spice Park at 305-247-5727 - Blues, Brews & Barbecue 2nd Annual Blues Brews & BBQ. - Children's First Cane Pole Fishing Tournament
Fee: TBA Coordinator: Park Masterson This is for little fisherman ages 4 to 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
