Bring Plenty Of Scares For Everyone
Street parties, trick-or-treating, costume contests for kids and doggies, and
horror houses are just some of the fun events you should expect to enjoy this
upcoming Halloween in Coral Gables. Here’s a list of the events you shouldn’t
miss this Hallows’ Eve: - Haunted Jaunt, presented by the Ponce Society of Young Professionals, on Wednesday, October 24, 5-11 p.m. at Fred B. Harnett/Ponce Circle Park, 2901 Ponce de Leon Blvd. This fun-for-a-cause (proceeds benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation) offers costume contests, walk-through street fair with scary haunts, vintage horror movies on the lawn, plus food and drinks. - Nightmare at 405 Haunted House, on Wednesday, October 31, 6:30-10 p.m. at War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Drive. Get ready to be scared out of your wits! This event is not suitable for children under the age of 5. Cost is $4 per person. For more information, call 305-460-5600.
- Halloween on the Mile, on Wednesday, October 31, 4-7 p.m. This family affair event offers a safe trick-or-treat along Miracle Mile, a special performance at the Miracle Theatre, kids costume contests and even a doggie costume contest at the Coral Gables Museum. For more information, click here.
- Howl-o-ween at Fairchild, 10901 Old Cutler Road, on Wednesday, October 31. Guests can bring their doggies to Fairchild to parade through the garden's lush surrounding while showing off their canine costumes as they enjoy treats, free tram rides and even doggie beer. - Halloween Party at JohnMartin’s, 253 Miracle Mile, on Wednesday, October 31, beginning at 9 p.m. Join the scariest and trendiest costume clad crowd for a night featuring live music, a costume contest with cash prizes, food and drinks. For more information, click here.
