National Public Gardens Day free admission coupon

by

National Public Gardens Day is Friday, May 11, making it the perfect date to get outdoors and enjoy the spring displays on show at botanical gardens and other public gardens across America.

Many gardens will also host special events, family activities, gardening workshops, demonstrations or talks. As it’s the Friday before Mother’s Day, why not make it a family trip and take Mom to your local gardens as a surprise celebration? It’s a whole new way to give the gift of flowers, and it’s a FREE gift, too, if you take advantage of a promotion by Better Homes and Gardens magazine and the American Public Gardens Association

Get National Public Gardens Day FREE admission on May 11 to participating gardens that usually charge a fee when you sign up online, select which garden you’d like to visit, and indicate how many people you want to take with you. You can get FREE admission for up to ten people.
Participating venues include:
  • The New York Botanical Garden
  • Smithsonian Gardens
  • Chicago Botanic Garden
  • University of Illinois Arboretum
  • Tucson Botanical Gardens
  • South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center
  • Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami
  • Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park in Florida

The National Public Gardens Day FREE admission is only valid on Friday May 11, 2012, and you can see all the participating venues at the link when you sign up at Better Homes and Gardens for your freebie.

The event aims to celebrate and promote awareness of America’s public gardens and the role they play in conservation and education – as well as providing green space in communities and a great family day out.

National Public Gardens Day takes place every year on the Friday before Mother’s Day.
