Barnacle Under Moonlight

There is musical family fun to be had at Barnacle State Park in Coconut Grove. Casual concerts are held here on the Second Friday of the month from September through May.
Bring a picnic, bring your friends and enjoy a lovely evening. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Music lasts from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. No pets and no alcohol are allowed. The cost is $7 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 6 - 9; and those under 6 are free.

Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed “under the stars” (one
matinee show is also available) in this outdoor theater experience!
The
Shakespearian play is performed by actors, in the middle of the park!
It is really a very unique experience (a huge stage is built, and
everyone brings blankets, cheese, wine, etc. They also set up bleachers,
for your comfort. The special effects of last year’s “Romeo and
Juliette” were really neat!). The literature mentions that this is
appropriate for adults and kids 8 and up.
I
called Pinecrest Gardens, and confirmed that the even is FREE. They are
not even charging entrance to the park on the days the play is
performing!
