June Events


Free admission to the Museum from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
The Bass Museum’s Beats After Sunset series continues on Friday, June 1. The evening runs from 8 to 11 p.m. Music will be provided by Terence Tabeau. Among current exhibitions is Erasey Page, a web-based art project. Museum members and Basspass holders get in free; others pay $8. The Bass is at 2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach.


First Fridays at MiaSci - June 1st.
The start of a new month brings another First Friday event at the Miami Science Museum. At 7:30 p.m. there’ll be a free planetarium star show, followed by rooftop observatory viewing from 8:30 to 10 p.m., weather permitting. Laser shows will be held hourly from 8 p.m through midnight; the cost for those is $8 adults, $4 children. Little ones can check out the activity room as well. MiaSci is at 3280 S. Miami Ave.



Gourmet Food Trucks fight for your taste buds at the First Friday Food Trucks at Flamingo Gardens, June 1, 5PM – 9PM. Dozens of picnic tables in the courtyard for dining amid the Parrot Aviaries with restroom facilities nearby. DJ Mike spins the tunes in the parking lot.

In the 2012 exhibition of The Art of The Brick, Sawaya will present a selection of many new works, most of which have not been seen at the Center. Exhibitions of Sawaya’s work have broken attendance records at the Center and at museums around the world.
    The Interactive Play Area adjacent to the exhibition allows visitors to make their own LEGO creations.
